I’m truly disappointed and disheartened by my recent experience at Ashford Auto Clinic, specifically with their new management representative, Wick. I had to return because my check engine light came on, and while I understand diagnostic fees are standard, I asked if this fee could be applied toward the repair if I chose to proceed since it's sometimes done with other shops. Instead of a simple "no," Wick responded with a long, dismissive explanation about how they "feed their technicians" through these charges. This comment stung deeply because I fully understand and respect the hard work and expertise of mechanics. My family and I went out of our way to show that respect during our first visit.A bit of background: We initially brought my sister’s car to Ashford Auto when we moved to Houston, hoping to find a reliable mechanic she could trust for future repairs. We spent over $1,000 on various repairs in our first visit and were met with kindness, honesty, and excellent service from Rod and his team. To thank them for their honesty and fair pricing, we even provided dinner for the entire team to show our appreciation, acknowledging the hard work they put into making repairs affordable for us.Aside from leaving positive feedback, one of the most genuine ways customers show appreciation is through loyalty and return visits. We felt that by returning for more services, we would be supporting their business as they had supported us. It is incredibly disappointing to realize that despite our efforts to build a relationship with Ashford Auto, our loyalty was met with such disrespect. I even expressed to Wick how highly we thought of Rod and his family, hoping he would understand the impact of his words. Instead, his response made it clear he didn’t care about retaining us as clients.The rudeness has cost Ashford Auto a loyal customer, which is unfortunate for both parties, since now we will have to establish with a new mechanic. To any future customers, I recommend caution, as the treatment we received under the new management does not reflect the warm, professional atmosphere we once knew. I hate leaving bad reviews especially for a small business, but this was just disappointing.

It’s always nerve wracking to take my vehicle in to a new shop after making a move to a new area of town. It was a huge relief when I found Ashford Auto Clinic since it was located so close to home and had tons of great reviews. The care and concern shown by staff is genuine and they go above and beyond to find solutions. I appreciate how transparent and honest they are and how they make sure that work they recommend is necessary, affordable, and done with high standards. Thank you Ashford Auto, you guys are awesome!
